A Travellerspoint blog

Welcome to South Africa

So I've been in South Africa for almost 2 weeks now and everything is incredible; the people the food the scenary everything. While somethings are entirely different there are many aspects that are very much like home. These homie touches have made my transition here much easier, i feel very comfortable in my environment and love exploring my new home. Im still trying to figure out this new blog and promise the next entries to be much more informative and interesting. For now this is just a simple start.

We need to catch up! So glad your having a great time though. I am beyond happy, traveling is amazing and I can't wait to get back to it. In fact there is a guy right next to me right now from England, he's staying with us a couple nights, a freind that Seth met while in Syndey. This is just an example of how cool traveling is, make friends & you will be taken care of wherever you go. Its that simple. But lets talk, I miss you, I love you & I wanna see pictures damnit

Can't wait to read and see more - but for us geographic idiots, can you tell us where you are specifically? And am not familiar with what peninsula is in the photo.

Im in Cape Town, South Africa. It is the southern most country in Africa and Cape town is in the Western Cape and is at the very tip of Africa More specifically i live in Mowbray it is a few minutes walk from the University of Cape Town. The picture was at Clifton Beach, a really beautiful, really expensive area along the coast. It was one of the stops on the Peninsula tour, the penisula being the greater south western coast of South Africa including the Cape of Good Hope which was another stop on our tour.
Zach: Love you too and pictures will come when i get ahold of more/free internet credit aka soon!

Kira dear, I hope you got my past email and also a letter sent. I didn't have luck with your blog but I have been able to pull it up when I click on Mom's page with the address. I am printing it and will send a copy to Aunt Lenore to keep her in the loop. Glad you are so accepting of all the new stuff. You will go a long way in life by being so adapable. But then, you have already gone a long way. Grama's little joke. Take care. Love ya. M.R.
